Thank you for all of that, Paul, but one quick thing:

Woah woah woah, Paul. You don't know, especially regarding this particular accusation. As WayneDawg said recently on his blog post about "7 Ways To Be A Better Christian In 2010":

"Do not ascribe to people motives they may not have."

Let me make one thing abundantly clear, Paul: you and I might not agree on a lot of different things, and you might think you were in my shoes, and you might have snickered during that time, but:

Please do not ascribe to people motives they may not have.

Or, in this situation, motives that they do not have. I am not snickering at you. I am not mocking you when I write to you.

To be bluntly honest, and remove morals and ethics from the situation, those methods (i.e., snickering) would not serve my purposes, which is to converse with and try to understand people who do not think like I do. My "kind demeanor", if we were to remove morals and ethics from the situation, is a method that does serve my purposes. I'm just lucky that it's the same method that is also the correct ethical choice, as I see it.

I might not have been completely serious when answering the statements above, but I was not snickering at you.

I just wanted to make that point clear.

Be well, and I'm very sorry to read about the passing of your mother. I can relate to that situation, and I wish you peace in your time of mourning.

Hi Nohm,

1. God's standard of "good" is absolute moral perfection from the moment you were conceived to the moment you die.

2. Turn from your sin (true repentance) and put your faith in Christ alone for the forgiveness of your sins (God's laws you have broken) and you're in!

Outside of God's grace, nobody stands a chance on their own to enter into Heaven. Salvation is a free GIFT purchased for you by Jesus by His shed blood on the cross for your sins. This great gift is yours to receive or reject.

As always, I continue to pray that God would cause you to come to this repentance and faith in Christ and be saved from eternal condemnation, as He did with me.

I know all of this is nothing new to you, Nohm. And I can sense your snickering despite your kend demeanor. I know. I was in your shoes for the first 44 years of my life.

If this is your year to die, my hope is that you will humble yourself before God your Creator, repent, believe and be granted eternal life in Heaven, therefore, escaping what you (and the rest of us) truly deserve.

Hell is as forever as Heaven.

May God richly bless you with His kindness, through Christ, this year.

Hi!

Are you ready to stand before your Creator, God Almighty, should you die some day in this New Year, starting today?

I assume I wouldn't have much of a choice, so sure, I'm ready.

Are you ready to give an account to your Judge, Jesus Christ, for everything you ever thought, for every word you ever said and every deed you ever committed in your life?

Again, it's not like I have a choice, so sure.

Are you good enough to make it into Heaven?

It depends on 1. what "good enough" means and 2. what the rules are to enter Heaven. If you're correct, then no, I am not good enough to enter Heaven.
