This year's Mission Ottawa gospel outreach, a five day gospel giving blitz on the streets of Ottawa via open air preaching gospel tract distribution, one-on-one conversations and crosswalking with the "Are You Ready" cross has come and gone.
Usually held in the fall but due to a forced change in my "vacation" time at work this year, Mission Ottawa was held in June. As always, our dear brother and friend, Vernon Costolo of Georgia, co-founder of Mission Ottawa, flew up to join us again for the five day effort for the third year in a row.
As well, joining the evangelism team of Emmanuel Baptist Church for a day were Bill and Jenny Baker from Toronto. We were so pleased to finally meet and work along side these two wonderful and dedicated servants of Christ.
The 8 minute video posted below is just a snippet of the work the Lord blessed us with and helped us to accomplish.
With many opportunities to proclaim the gospel at various downtown locations over those few days, many people heard the gospel and thousands received it by gospel tract. Many meaningful discussions took place, as well, as we sought out to do that which the Lord has commissioned us to do, to "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation." - Mark 16:15. And "all" includes our own backyard.
What a privilege and joy to serve the King of kings and the Lord of lords by these means!
Until next year, we press on in the sharing of the saving gospel of Jesus Christ in the public square wherever we are, to His glory.

I pray more churches would put as much effort into reaching the lost in their own backyards as they do other other activities -
Amen, Wayne! Amen!
