If a Christian is willing but unsure how to start a gospel conversation with someone, sharing his or her personal testimony would be an easy way to begin because a true testimony cannot be shared without the gospel becoming the central focus of the chat.
If you can communicate to others WHO saved you, WHAT He saved you from, WHERE He saved you, WHY He saved you, WHEN He saved you, and even HOW He saved you, you are well on your way to an effective gospel conversation with them.
For starters:
WHO: Jesus
WHAT: Hell
WHERE: Calvary
WHY: Love
WHEN: 2000 years ago
HOW: The cross
Just zeroing in on any or all of these categories can keep a conversation going for a long time. And it all simply comes from the Christian's testimony.
Try it and be blessed.

Well said and good advice. Thank you, Paul.
ReplyDeleteAmen brother!
ReplyDeleteI hear people say often that the best way to witness to someone is to share your personal testimony with them....I will say that's fine, but make sure the heart of your testimony includes the biblical gospel.
You said it perfectly Paul; include the 5 W's and the 1 H, and you are on your way to an effective gospel conversation!
Thank you, Katrina and Wayne. How I would love if, Lord willing, we could ever meet someday and tell of each other's experience in coming to our great and wonderful Savior. Talk about time well spent. I love hearing other peoples' testimonies. So encouraging and such glory given to God.
ReplyDeleteThank you Paul , Your article of Aug 7 is just what many of us need to be challenged to do . Thank you for sharing

Yes, Joy, even deaf people can do something simple like this to get the gospel out on the streets, so to speak. And it can be fun, as well.
