Out of all the civic and special events our evangelism team from Emmanuel Baptist Church attends to spread the gospel at, Canada Day is by far one of the easiest. People by the thousands are already in an upbeat mood and handing out Canadian million dollar bill themed gospel tracts is a breeze to do.
Joining our team this year for our annual Canada Day outreach were Tom Briggs from St Thomas in southwestern Ontario as well as newlyweds James and Carol Seabrook from Grace Baptist Church in Ottawa. It was a joy to spread these gospel seeds alongside our special guests.
Given that this year's Canada Day fell on a Sunday, our outreach time was cut short due to our first priority in regular morning Lord's Day worship followed by our weekly post-service fellowship luncheon. But that did not do much in the way of impeding our ability to hand out thousands of gospel tracts to Canada Day revellers.
Glory to God, we had a great day as many went home with the gospel in their pocket which we pray will one day end up in their heart!
