A MESSAGE FOR OWEN

I stood on a corner with my AYR cross for an hour and a half Sunday afternoon in Westboro Village, Ottawa. The cross caught the attention of many passersby on the sidewalk, in cars and on bikes...including this fellow whose curiosity got the best of him and he stopped to ask what it is he should be ready for.

Owen, was a most friendly, courteous, pleasant and intelligent gentleman to converse with. A confessed agnostic, yet he was more than willing to hear what I had to say and he listened well. He asked real good questions and never challenged me on any of my answers, most of which came from Scripture. We talked for one full hour before parting. He expressed his appreciation to me for answering his questions which he said gave him much to think about.

Before leaving, he jokingly said that his only disappointment he had was that I was not the 'religious lunatic' he thought he would be dealing with when he approached me. He truly enjoyed our rich conversation and he was eager to receive an "Are You Ready" gospel tract.

I told him as he started pedalling off that it would be my privilege to pray for him. So taken by that, he stopped his bike turned to me and said, "Thank you, I would really appreciate that."

One corner, one cross, one blessing of a gospel conversation.

Owen has now heard the gospel truth. God drew him to speak with me via the "Are You Ready" cross. There's a street corner waiting for you to do the same if you have not yet done so.

Are you ready to stand for Christ?
