In my second last blog post video, "Mission Good Friday 2012", I presented edited clips of all those who participated in our outreach in the Byward Market. There was one particular clip that well demonstrated the power of the Holy Spirit involved in our humble efforts to bring the Good News to the streets of Ottawa.
Denis Pomerleau is an elder at our church. Though he, his wife, Peggy and son, Daniel are no strangers to street evangelism, it had been a while since they were out in the public square with the gospel. That was until they joined our new church last summer where we had already established a bit of a reputation for being a body of believers with a heart for the lost and were consistently active in bringing the gospel out beyond the walls of our church and onto the streets of the nation's capital city.
This video is Denis' unedited 8 minute open air presentation of the gospel taken from our Mission Good Friday 2012 outreach in the Byward Market.
I present this as a fine example of what effective open air preaching can be like as his preaching stopped some people in their tracks, even more so than can be seen in the camera's field of view. Only the Lord knows how He will effect the hearts of those who heard this compassionate and powerful message.
What a blessing it is to see our little church evangelism team grow. And what a privilege it is to be working alongside shameless gospel proclaimers such as Denis.

An everyday Christian's effort dedicated to encourage fellow believers who regularly share their faith with others and to hopefully motivate those who do not.
There is nothing more important for people to know than where they are going to spend eternity, for certain. There is no other truth that must be offered to others than the saving gospel of Jesus Christ.
But the same good news for us is bad news for others if we but keep it to ourselves. And that would be wrong.
Christians are called by Jesus Himself to get busy telling others about Him and what He has done to secure eternal salvation for those who hear and believe.
"Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation." (Mark 16:15)
