As you probably notice from the photo below, there has been a lot of change since The Word Street Journal first opened it's office, along with the first open air sermon being preached, on Main Street in Ottawa, Ontario, a whole two years ago.

Yes, fashions have changed, pavement has replaced cobble stone, cars instead of horses, notepads to computers, etc.
Thankfully, the one and most important thing that has not and never will change is the Word of God.
We, here at The Word Street Journal, appreciate your patronage as we move into our third year of being a source of edification and encouragement to our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ who, like us, bear a burden for lost souls and have a burning desire to serve our King and "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation." as He commanded us to do in Mark 16:15.
Leaving tracts, handing out tracts, one-to-one and group conversations on the street, reading Scripture in public and open air preaching are a few of the many ways we can all be bringing the saving gospel of Jesus to the world around us.
It looks like this year is going to be another busy year of sowing and watering seeds on the streets of the nation's capital. Come along for the adventure. Your support through the wonderful act of prayer would be most appreciated.
"...his word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot." - Jeremiah 20:9
Always for the glory of God,

Paul,
ReplyDeleteI am proud to see your unabashed love for the Lord through your love for the lost. This blog, like few others, is a fun read and a great encouragement to me. I love your Photshoppery, writing style and all the new evangelism techniques you are dreaming up with that "Are you ready" cross.
A word of caution: Write this blog for the glory of God and don't let your visitor counter be the impetus for continued faithfulness on the Web.
Many are indeed drawing being inspired to do more for the sake of Christ because of your example.
Me included.
Happy two years!!!
You could do worse for a two year old blog. For example: http://beerinbaltimore.com/?p=5569
Happy Birthday Word Street Journal! Paul, your blog has been an incredible encouragement to me. I have pushed beyond the comfort zone many times because of the ideas I saw displayed in video on your blog. God has given you a gift for presentation (and encouragement) and a true heart for evangelism.
ReplyDeleteYour "support request" is granted. Please know you and Kim and your ministry are being prayed for often.
May many people hear the gospel preached through your efforts on the street and in the blogosphere in the coming year.
May your tribe increase!
ReplyDeleteHappy Bloggerversary!
Amen; Praise God...and happy birthday!
ReplyDeleteThe last two years have been a steady encouragement to me and my own ministry in north Georgia.
I echo Katrina's words that you have also helped push me out of my comfort zone, not only from the pages of The Word Street Journal, but also from your warm and compassionate voice to lift me up on the eve of Black Friday prior to my open air!
I praise God for you and Kim and for your faithfulness to reach the lost with the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ!
Thank you for your kind words, dear friends. Your encouragement helps to confirm for us that the Lord has us right where He wants us in fulfilling His will, for His purposes, for the building of His kingdom, for His glory.
ReplyDeleteLet us all be encouraged and press on in the work and race that is set before us. Better here and now than there and then given that there and then will have no need for us to give the gospel to anybody.
For God's glory alone and always,
Paul & Kim
Hey Steve,
ReplyDeleteWould you believe I have NO idea what my count is. I never look at the thing. As I write this, I don't have a clue how many "hits" I have had to date nor is it a concern of mine. Whatever it is, I can't count it as truly accurate as just because someone hits on my site does not necessarily mean they read it. Thanks for the tip though. Good advice for anybody. Yes, God gets the glory and Him alone via any of our efforts. Amen!
Thanks for everything, brother!
Paul

ReplyDeleteThis blogsite encourages me greatly. You are on my bookmark bar for my daily reads. Praying for double-portion blessings as you and Kim reach out to encourage fellow evangelists to "Go" through this blog site. May the Lord richly increase your boundaries with successful Kingdom fishing expeditions for the Glory of God.
ReplyDeleteHappy 2nd Birthday to The Word Street Journal!!!
Praise His name for your work.
