This video is the first of two installments detailing our experience in proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ at this year's Ottawa gay pride parade.
Part 1 is an uncut version of what took place when I open aired on a downtown sidewalk as people waited for the parade to begin.
As you will see, it did not take long before those who demand tolerance for themselves displayed their intolerance toward someone being tolerant of them. Go figure.
The few harsher vulgarities that were spewed at me during the preaching segment in Part 1 have been muted out.
I have some things to say about the preaching segment and other things, but will reserve comment for an upcoming post following Part 2.
Part 2, which is still on the editing board, will show viewable portions of the parade and what happened to James and I as we silently stood along the parade route holding our "Are You Ready" crosses, being a witness for Christ. I hope to have that up in the next couple of days or so.
Here is Part 1:

Praise the Lord brother!! We are lights in a dark world. God was indeed glorified on this day as well as seeds being planted!! You are such an encouragement to me.
ReplyDeletethis was very difficult to watch brother yet, i learned today to be mindful to conduct myself with the Fruit of the Spirit as you di in Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness and Self-Control
ReplyDeletemay the Lord crown you with many crowns so that you can throw them at His feet when the the time comes.
2 Timothy 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
Revelation 3:11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
double-portion blessings to you, Kim and James!
looking forward to part duo... ; )
I was in tears halfway through the video brother Paul.
ReplyDeletePraise God that the Holy Spirit kept you on track and focused through all the hate that was spewed at you. My heart was racing just watching this while at the same time it was breaking at the thought that all those folks will one day be on their knees begging for mercy before the One and only just God.
God bless your team and ministry.
I'm gay but sheesh ... I wanted to stick a sock in the mouth of the lady chanting "Homophobia's Got To Go!" It's like a broken record.
ReplyDeleteYou've got to understand, though: the Christian message is hateful to many people. Think about it: you're saying that if others don't believe what you believe, they're going to have their skin burned off their bones in a literal Lake of Fire for all eternity. Your acts also imply that you're certain enough of these beliefs to tell it to perfect strangers whom you've never met and who have, until this day, not so much as inconvenienced you.
You do understand why you get an angry reaction, then, yeah?
