There is nothing new in stating that Christmas is more about Santa than about Jesus. On Saturday evening, Kim and I took a 1 hour window of opportunity to present the saving gospel of Christ, by voice and by tract, to the Santa anxious crowds at the Ottawa Help Santa Toy Parade.
Important note: even though at times it may it look as though nobody is listening to the gospel message, it is always the case that, from my viewpoint on the preaching stand, there is always a person or some people in the crowd on the peripheral or in the distance, who seem to be listening intently. Then there are those who I can easily tell are pretending not to be listening, but their glances and body language reveal otherwise.
But even if nobody were really listening, we must preach on! We find truth in the Bible when it says that God's word will not return to Him void. We must trust Him with that and remain faithful to the preaching of His Word.
Preaching the gospel, in spirit and truth, is never for nothing!

Amen brother Paul!
There were definitely some listeners in that crowd. God was indeed glorified. Preach On!!
What I wrote at the bottom of my post was an afterthought that I should have included in the video. Maybe a topic of interest for another post.
As it was, from my viewpoint on Saturday night, there were at least 2 people nearby and 2 across the street, who had their eyes fixed on me as I preached.
Of course there were distractions with noise, their friends chatting away, etc...but I could tell they were interested in what was being said.
"Preach on", amen! Thanks, guys!
Great word!
What I noticed was that the children walking by would not divert their eyes like their parents did as they walked by. Also, there was a little one who tended to look your direction and heard the entire message. These children may become future evangelists one day from the seeds planted.
Going for another treatment for my neck today (Tuesday). Would appreciate prayers.
That was excellent Paul..praise the Lord, keep it up
