of 5000 at a youth conference a few years ago.It has become known all over as "The Shocking Youth Message". If you are one who has yet to see it, then I highly reccommend you take the time to watch it.

It just so happened that I played the message last night for my wife. I have watched it a few times and even listen to it in my car. Powerful. Bold. Forceful. There are hardly enough adjectives.
Hey Dale,
I knew you and your wife were going to watch it last night so I thought you might appreciate the background video today. I know, it's just the kinda guy I am! :)
I agree re: not enough adjectives. I have been richly blessed by Washer's preaching and teaching. Blown away by his humility.
Thanks for checking in. Praying for you both, brother.
Well, now we just listened to the background video together. Amazing. Truly amazing.
There is a church here in our town that had a youth group video from a seminar at the church and they played major rock band music, I know one was U2 but actual secular band music to get the kids in.
In another church, a lady I knew said something to the youth pastor about the very heavy metal music in the youth service and he told her if she didn't like it, " you can take your kids and get out". No exageration . . . I was there.
Amazing interview, though.
I lived in a small town just outside of Ottawa for a few years and, because the gospel truth was faithfully and powerfully preached there, I attended a Reformed Presbyterian Church.
To my shock, they only sang Psalms!
To my shock, there were no musical instruments!
I no time, I began to appreciate the beauty of singing Psalms: God's own words, and that, acapella. I also got to learn the Psalms well because we sang them every Lord's Day.
We were not singing the words of man and there was no worry of someone leading (performing?) at the front.
God's Word. All voice. Solemn and joyful worship. No distractions. Beautiful. I truly miss it.
Bono would be humbled.
Glad you enjoyed the interview. Have a great weekend.
